Good to know there's a different life and a wider view outside your window.

No rest for the wicked

I made my way to work this morning, sat at my desk, looked around and decided it best to head back home. I didn't feel great this morning and blamed it on the sleepless night. I struggled to walk to work this morning and nearly fell to the ground in one instance, I think I nearly fainted..I dunno but whatever it was it scared me a little.

Best to come home and rest.

I ripped off my clothes, jumped into my comfy pjs and crashed on the couch. I fell asleep while watching Atonement..good choice. Dreams with James McAvoy in a tent? Hello come on in and do take off your shoes.

Crushes are good. British crushes? Even better.

At times I really hate living and breathing in the 21st century.

UK surely has many rewindable places to visit. I love losing myself to it's charms.....forgetting present time.

Drags of Menthol

Will I ever break free from this one dimensional woman? Yes I am making progress thanks to a certain person who has helped me find my sensual feminine side again, and haphazardly helping me through all the awkward moments. I know no matter what happens I will be forever grateful to him.

One drag at a time.

I Just Cawwwwnt Get Enough

I had Morrissey playing in my ears while snapping this. It seemed fitting.

I am listening to Depeche Mode at the moment and boy does it make me feel 14 years old again. English music especially in the 1980's was magical, inventive and fresh wasn't it?  England seemed light years away then.

I remember while on holiday in Northern Ontario Canada in 1985 mailing $4 or $5 dollars in change (pennies and all)  in an envelope to England for a Duran Duran fanzine. I can still recall the envelope stuffed to the max, heavy and taped shut. Three months later the fanzine arrived at the house back in Canada. My Dad had accidentally opened it since both my father and I share the first initial A and surnames. Ha he looked so confused fingering through glossy black and white photos of Simon Le Bon. I still have this fanzine to this day and that image of my Dad checking out The Fab Five will always make me smile.

Oddly enough I have no idea how the envelope even got to England knowing the postage was most likely way off and too heavy to mail. I great big thank you goes out to the postal workers for making England seem...well.... not so far away :)

Sandwich Board Love

I love how the English underwhelm everything and state the obvious. They are experts at it.
